Locations of proxy servers

Buyproxies247 is very secretive about their server locations and does not disclose any information at all publicly.

This makes it very hard for anyone to know the states where they offer their services. However, all their proxy servers are located in the USA, so if you need Europe proxies, you might need to consider a second provider.

The set of proxies we received for our package of 10 private proxies were all from New York and Arizona.

All four proxies from Arizona were from the same subnet, which is a bit of a downside for aggressive web scraping since most of the time whole IP range is banned instead of a single IP.

Ping Test & Proxy Speed Test

In our review session, we performed several tests on the proxies. This includes the ping test, speed test, geo-location test, and IP compatibility test.  Other than these, we rate their service in terms of user-friendliness. We discussed the test results below in detail.

Speed Test:

The speed test is one of our key tests and often acts as the deciding factor for the verdict. Since without proper speed, the entire experience of using proxies becomes significantly affected.

The test was performed by activating each of the proxies and manually testing the proxy speed using one of the most renowned speed testing services on the internet, the speed speedtest.net.

From our test result, it is evident that the proxies are of very high speed. We received a speed of over 50 Mbps, which is equivalent to our own connection speed. However, 4 of the proxies had speed in the range of 10-30 Mbps.

But we must say, for browsing or scrape bots, even 10 Mbps is a decent speed whereas 50 Mbps will give you the ultimate experience when streaming HD content from the internet.

Ping Test:

Since proxies mean that you’ll have to use multiple connections over time, the connection setup or response time, also known as ping time should be as low as possible.

This is one of the key factors to get a smooth browsing experience. High pings are often associated with packet loss which is totally unacceptable.

We performed our ping test by a popular testing service, whoer.net which checks the ping time for a specific IP from a list of servers around the world. The result shows that almost all the proxies require more than 50ms ping time which is somewhat more than most users like.

GEOlocation Test / ISP Test

As mentioned earlier, Buyproxies247 don’t disclose their server locations. So we had to extract all the location related information from this test.

The test result showed that the set of IPs from Arizona server uses the same subnet mask which increases the chance of getting a ban. Apart from that, other characteristics of the IPs seemed fine. The IPs were from two locations which are usually the case for small packages.

IP address compatibility Test

In our fourth and final test, we verify whether the proxies have any restrictions. Although it’s not possible to test against all the websites, we chose a set of highly popular and most visited sites to test proxy compatibility.

The test result shows that the proxies can log in to all of our test websites effortlessly. Since the test websites include most used websites, we can say that the proxies should have access to a wide range of other websites. The test result is really impressive as you can see below.
