AWMPRoxy is a fairly unpopular proxy provider, but one that you should consider. AWMProxy may not be on the top of the lists, but the combination of the price and features makes it a provider that you should not discard.

If you are looking into proxy providers, the is very likely that you missed AWMProxy, and the main reason for that is the lack of popularity. This Russian proxy provider may have been around for around four years, but it never got to the popularity like Luminati or Geosurf.

Regardless of that, there are some features that make it a compelling choice. the amount of available proxies is around 350 thousand, but there are some limitations, and you will not be able to get access to all of them. Location wise, you are getting quite a lot of locations around the world, around 200 countries based on their location list.

Today we are going to review AWMProxy and let you know if it’s the right choice for you.

The company claims that these are elite proxies and that you will have no problems with bans. With around 350 thousand proxies in roughly 200 countries around the world, you are not looking at the biggest proxy network, but it is diverse. The number of proxies may seem like more than what Stormproxy offers, but you are looking at a little over 70 thousand available proxies daily. This will get a bit confusing when we reach the pricing of the proxies.

Proxy Types, Features, and Pricing

Let’s face it, AWMProxy is not Luminati with multiple types of proxy offers. Here you only get elite proxies, which are most likely residential, so you are not paying a premium price for regular datacenter proxies.

What AWMProxy is doing right is the pricing structure. There are three regular packages, Basic, Standard, and VIP are with monthly subscriptions, and the prices depend on the number of proxies you need and the quantity of the flow or number of simultaneous connections. On top of that, you can also get a daily package that they advertise as a testing package. With that, you get quite a lot of proxies, twice as many as the standard package, and as many simultaneous connections as on the VIP package.

Apart from these plans, you can also get a mass mailing package as well as a Google and Instagram. Both of those are monthly packages with access to over half of the entire proxy pool. All proxy packages have the mailing port 25 closed except the packaged predicted for that.

Despite the daily package that you can use to test the proxies, AWMProxy also provides free proxies. We often advise against using free proxies, and the same rule applies here. The reason for that is the proxies are available for anyone that will open their website. Even though these are still proxies managed by them, you should only try them but not use them. Also, since they are free, do not expect to get full performance; after all, they are only for testing.

It is a rare sight to get a complete list of countries where the provider has proxies, so we were surprised when we saw this in the budget-friendly AWMProxy. The list of available countries is around 200 with proxies available in multiple cities, even in the ones that have far less than 100 proxies per country. Even though the numbers of the available proxies are nothing to brag about, the list of countries is very impressive.

Ping and Speed Tests

Regardless of what you use the proxies for, speed and latency play an essential part of your experience with them. Slow speeds and high latency mean that there will be much less data that can flow through the proxy node, and it will take more time for the packets to get there and back. Ideally, you would want proxies with higher speeds and lower latency. The problem is that if these are residential proxies, you will not be getting speeds like on datacenter proxies.

To see how AWMProxy’s proxies perform, we put them to the test and compare them to the speed and latency we got on our VPS with no proxy.

As you can see above, the speed and latency of our VPS are excellent. With this result, as a baseline, we ran the same test on speedtest.net with 10 US proxies applied. The results are in the table below.

This is where we start to see why the proxies are cheaper than most of their competitors. All ping tests got results over 300ms, while the speeds never got over 2 Mbps both on the download and upload. At least they are consistent, right?

The results from both services are slightly different, which may not be a negative side. Not all services get the data from the same place, so there may be some discrepancies. The good news is that the states and ISP on both tests showed the same results, so that is a huge plus.

Considering the speeds and the price, we honestly did not expect these results. All proxies were able to access all six sites with ease, meaning that you would really be getting elite proxies.

Something we don’t see every day in the proxy world is daily packages. No matter if AWMProxy advertises this package for testing or not, being able to get proxies for a day or two is excellent. Some people don’t need the proxies for a whole month, so this is an excellent choice for them.

No need to give an in-depth explanation for this. Unlimited bandwidth is not rare in proxy providers, but it is rare with cheaper options.

Plenty of locations

In this price range, most proxy providers have a very limited number of locations where they offer proxies from. AWMProxy is not like most providers. This provider offers proxies in around 200 countries around the world, making it as diverse as companies like Luminati.

Free proxies

Getting something for free is always nice. As much as is that true, this is not a feature that we can recommend using too much. Free proxies are still less secure and lack performance.

Multiple protocols

If you purchased these proxies, then no matter which protocols you need, AWMProxy has got you covered. The list of supported protocols is SOCKS 4 and 5, as well as HTTP and HTTPS.

During the time we used AWMProxy’s proxy addresses, we had no problem, and as you can see from some of the tests, there were no drops, and the proxies were always online during our usage.

Support

This is where AWMProxy falls way behind the competition. The FAQ section is okay at best with a decent amount of information and guides, but when you need to reach out to them is where you start to have some difficulties. The only way to submit a ticket or get in touch with their support team is via the website form, and you have no way of knowing when they get back to you. It may take a few hours, or it may take a few months, you will never know.
