The need for a good proxy provider has been on the increase for a while. With many available options, people are often confused when deciding which provider to go for, which is why we’re here to help. Today, we’ll look at SimplyNode to help you decide if it’s worth considering.
We often mention that online services can change our lives a lot. It doesn’t matter if we’re talking about those we use for entertainment purposes or work-related projects; there is a service that can help. There are many options today, and the ones we often discuss here are proxies.
Being one of the most flexible services online, you shouldn’t be surprised why they’ve been so popular. There were times when they weren’t as widely available, but that’s changed, and today, we have loads of providers to choose from.

Most providers today offer a different set of products and features, which is why some of them do better in some instances. This is also why it’s essential to go through reviews to get an idea of whether a service is worth looking into or not.
The proxy provider we’ve chosen for today is SimplyNode. Unlike many prominent names in this industry, this one often flies under the radar, which is a shame. We often see these “smaller” provider doing a very good job, almost as good as their expensive rivals.
When it comes to SimplyNode, the question is: will this provider impress you, or should you consider going for some of the other available options?
- Excellent performance
- Flexible packaging structure
- Custom package is available
- No monthly commitment and no expiration on the traffic
- IP whitelist or username and password authentication available
- No free trial
- Latency is higher than some of its competitors
- The help center section needs more content
- No datacenter proxies
- There isn’t an option for a free trial
- The support needs more work
Proxy types, features, and pricing
SimplyNode is a provider that offers a decently flexible set of products. You can choose between residential and mobile IP addresses, giving you a good option for most projects. This provider takes a different approach to the pricing structure, which is similar for both types of proxies.
Regardless of whether you’re going for mobile or residential IP addresses, you can choose a package based precisely on your needs. It ranges from 1 GB up to 1000 GB and everything in between. As a result, you can fine-tune the package precisely so you don’t overspend on your project. The best part about this is that the set of features is identical regardless of the package size or the type of proxy you get.
In terms of the price range, there is a difference between both types of proxies. The residential ones range from $6 to $2500, while the mobile ones are a bit more expensive, ranging from $8 to $4500.
With both types, SimplyNode offers the option to ask for a custom package, which is a great option for people who need more.
Locations of Proxy Servers
Having multiple products to choose from isn’t something spectacular if the pool is small, which isn’t the case with SimplyNode. This provider has a pool of over 50 million IP addresses in every country in the world. It’s not the largest number we’ve seen, but it’s better than some more popular rivals, which is a good thing. You also have the option to choose the country, city, or ISP, depending on the location. The only thing to note is that this is the combined pool for the residential and mobile proxies.
Ping and Speed Tests
On paper, SimplyNode is a provider that offers a lot, which is what most people are after. With that said, the advertisement is different than what a provider can offer in the real world, which is why we test these services. We used multiple US proxies and put them to the test to see the results.
Like most of our previous reviews, the test includes download and upload speeds, as well as the loaded and unloaded latency.
IPs of Rotating Proxy | Ping | Download | Upload |

At first glance, you may think that the results are bad and this is a bad provider, but that’s not the case here. Keep in mind that we’re talking about residential and mobile IP addresses, so you shouldn’t expect gigabit speeds here. There are one or two IP addresses that didn’t offer impressive speeds, but we’d categorize them as pretty good.
Now, let’s talk about the latency, which is a bit more concerning. Even though we’ve seen worse numbers, some of these results aren’t too impressive. Seeing a higher latency on a loaded connection is expected, but over 700 ms is a bit too much.
The results here are a mixed bad. You’re looking at pretty good speeds but not the best latency. As long as you don’t need the proxies for a project that requires low latency, you’ll be fine.
GEOlocation Test/ISP Test
A provider that offers geo-targeting features means that it’s sure that it will offer IP addresses from a certain location. Having this ability can be crucial for certain people, such as those who are working on projects that need proxies from a specific location and need them to be accurate. This is why we put SimplyNode’s proxies to the test.

Good residential proxies rarely fail this test, which is the case with SimplyNode. All IP addresses showed that they are from the US and read as residential or business type of proxies. This is crucial for projects where you need the location to be correct. A good example of this is accessing websites and services restricted to a specific country, which is what this provider delivers.
IP Address Compatibility Test
People often aim for residential or mobile proxies because they’re good at avoiding detection. Datacenter proxies may offer better performance, but some websites are strict and don’t allow people to access them. We put SimplyNode’s proxies against some of the strictest websites to see how they perform.

We tested the residential proxies, and the results are as expected. All IP addresses had no issues accessing the websites, meaning you’ll have the same experience.
Keep in mind that there is a list of blocked websites, and with good reason. SimplyNode aims to protect its proxies as well as protect you, meaning that you won’t have full access to the internet. You’ll need to check out the company’s website to see the full list.
No Commitment and No Expiration
With most proxy providers, there is a theme where you’re paying for the package, which comes with a monthly commitment. Things work differently with SimplyNode, and it’s a lovely feature. This provider has no monthly commitment, so you won’t have to pay each month, regardless if you’ve used the bandwidth or not. Additionally, having no expiration on the traffic means it works more like a pre-paid option. It gives you the ability to use the bandwidth whenever you need to.
Multiple authentication methods
As far as proxy usage is concerned, apart from the wide range of use cases, there is another crucial aspect – authentication. With SimplyNode, you can choose between an IP whitelist of username and password, which is another flexible feature. As a result, you can go for the IP whitelist option if you’re running them from your home or office connection. On the other hand, if you’re using them on the go, the username and password login will make things simple, as opposed to having to update the whitelisted IP constantly.
Flexible Pricing Structure
We’ve seen many providers in the past where you have a limited number of packages, leading to a situation where people will struggle to fine-tune the package. This is often the case with larger packages where people don’t need as much, so they need to pay more and not use the entire package. With SimplyNode, things are different. You can fine-tune your package based on your needs, meaning that we’re looking at a flexible option.
Wide Range of Use Cases
When you combine the previous features, you’re getting a service offering a wide range of use cases. Therefore, SimplyNode is a provider that can offer that. With use cases ranging from scraping and monitoring to brand and email protection, this provider will be an excellent choice for many people and their projects, whether for personal or business use.
Choose the Type of Session
Another flexible side of SimplyNode is choosing what kind of session you want to run. There is the option to go for a rotating session, which gives you multiple choices for the duration. With that said, you can also go for a static proxy and hold the same IP address for longer.
Multiple Supported Protocols
A good proxy provider will offer a product that can cover most people’s needs. With SimplyNode, you’re looking at an option with multiple supported protocols – HTTP, SOCKS, and UDP. It means that you probably won’t find yourself in a situation where you won’t be able to use the proxies.
Large Pool and Worldwide Locations
Having multiple products to choose from isn’t something spectacular if the pool is small, which isn’t the case with SimplyNode. This provider has a pool of over 50 million IP addresses in every country in the world. It’s not the largest number we’ve seen, but it’s better than some more popular rivals, which is a good thing. You also have the option to choose the country, city, or ISP, depending on the location. The only thing to note is that this is the combined pool for the residential and mobile proxies.
Flexible Payment Methods
Apart from the flexible pricing structure, with SimplyNode, you’re also looking at flexible payment options. This provider covers the most popular options like cards or Apple Pay, as well as crypto payments. In addition, you can also send out a request for a direct bank transfer. If none of these work, you can reach out to support and see if other options are available.
Easy to Use
A crucial aspect of any proxy provider is to be user-friendly. Expect proxy users don’t pay too much attention to this, but beginners want something that they won’t have to spend days learning. SimplyNode is one of those providers that offers a simple-to-use dashboard.
The entire service is in one window, meaning that you won’t have to bother navigating around. You have two options, depending on the type of proxies you purchased, and everything is there.
On the top part, you have the package section outlining how much traffic you purchased and how much you’ve spent. There’s also the option to purchase additional bandwidth through the dashboard, which is practical. Below is the proxy section, where you will find the Usage graphs showing you how much bandwidth you’ve used. The proxy setup section is also here, allowing you to add a whitelisted IP address and tweak the rotation interval, ranging from 90 seconds to 6 hours. There’s also the option to set a custom period if you need to.
The bottom of the dashboard is reserved for the generator, where you can modify the geo-targeting options and generate the proxy list. There are 4 targeting options: country, region, city, and ISP. Keep in mind that there are some limitations to this, depending on which country you plan on using. For some of the smaller ones, you won’t have the option to choose a city or an ISP.
Overall, SimplyNode has one of the simplest dashboards in the industry, which is why we’d recommend this provider to beginners.
How to Authorize & Use
SimplyNode follows the trend of the big players in the industry, offering two types of authentications. The username and password combination is available to you in the dashboard, and you can use the generator to create the string, which you’ll just need to paste into whatever tool you’re using.
For the IP whitelist option, it’s just as simple. You can set the whitelisted IP address to the one you’re using and select that authentication method in the generator section. The proxy list information will change, and you’ll only have the URL and the port number.
Our Verdict & Summary
SimplyNode isn’t a provider you’ll see on many lists, but that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s poor. It covers all the crucial areas that most people are looking for in a provider, which is why we say you should consider it at least.

Usability
When you combine the overall experience of SimplyNode, you can understand why we say that most people won’t have any issues with usability. The simple-to-use slider on the website and the quick checkout option mean you’ll have access to your account in no time.
Once you get the login credentials and you go into the dashboard, you’re greeted with a simple and clear dashboard that doesn’t take much to figure out. Everything is on the same page, which is why there isn’t a navigation panel on the side like with many of its rivals.
SimplyNode is one of the simpler and easier-to-use proxy providers, meaning that it’s also suitable for beginners.
Pricing
As far as the pricing is concerned, SimplyNode is far from the most expensive option on the market, but it’s decently affordable. Sure, there are providers that offer their services for less, but it means that you’ll be making more compromises.
With prices starting from $6 per GB for the residential proxies and $8 for the mobile ones, you’re getting quite a decent proxy service. With plenty of features and an easy-to-use dashboard, we feel like SimplyNode is worth the money.
Reliability
As you’ve seen from the test results, the proxies we tested from SimplyNode had no issues. Sure, the latency is higher than some of its competitors, but we didn’t experience any downtime during our testing. The same goes for the dashboard. We had no issues accessing it and tweaking the proxy settings whenever we needed to.
Support
When it comes to support, SimplyNode does okay, but it’s not on the same level as the bigger players in the industry. The company has a ticketing system for when you need some assistance, which isn’t too bad. There’s also the option to reach out via email or chat on the website. With that said, there’s no option for phone support.
In terms of content on the website, it’s not too great. The FAQ section covers a handful of questions that are aimed more towards potential customers, not existing ones. There is a link to the help center, but it just leads to the homepage. We’d like to see this addressed so that we can give this provider the thumbs up for its support.
Verdict
Talking about these lesser-known providers often reveals things that we often mention here. Despite the lack of popularity, some providers are worth considering, and SimplyNode is one of them.
There isn’t a lot of information about this company, which isn’t the worst thing in the world. Sure, people often go for those that have some information, but we’ve seen many “incognito” companies that have proven to be excellent choices, so we’re not marking this as a negative.
In terms of the available products, it’s not one of those providers that has everything. With SimplyNode, you can get residential or mobile proxies, so if you’re looking for datacenter ones, you’ll need to look at other providers. Despite not having datacenter IP addresses, the performance of the other types is excellent. You’re looking at speeds comparable to some of the bigger names in the industry. Plus, for many of the use cases, this provider offers
The pricing structure is one of the most flexible ones for both the residential and mobile proxies. This allows you to fine-tune the package based on your needs. In addition to that, you’re getting all the features regardless of the size, including having no commitment and no expiration on the traffic.
Sure, there are some limitations, and the one most people will mention is the lack of a free trial. With that said, the smallest packages are relatively affordable, giving you 1 GB to test the service before deciding if you want to get more.
Overall, SimplyNode is a provider that we can recommend. It’s far from perfect, but as a whole, it’s a provider that does a very good job. Combining the performance, affordability, and features is something anyone would like, which is why we recommend checking it out.
