It is of no doubt that a proxy service is an essential ingredient of running a successful online business. From making a good online presence by achieving a high rank in the search result to marketing via social media to researching your competitor – the necessity of a private proxy service is beyond imagination.
While many proxy services are now available online, not all services are suitable for all kinds of tasks. In our review series on dedicated proxy services, we are testing the most popular proxy services and review the overall performance so that you don’t have to buy a package and then find out that it’s not suitable for you. In this review article, we’re focusing on ‘NewIPNow.’
For over seven years, NewIPNow has been providing private proxies at a very low price. But even though the proxies are offered at a cheap rate, the quality is not compromised. Proxies provided by NewIPNow are of high anonymity and very reliable.
Visiting their website, you’ll find the option to use their web-proxy for free. Apart from the free web-proxy service, they also have paid private proxy service. In this review, our only focus is on their private proxy service. We purchased a package of 10 proxies to carry out several tests on the proxies and determine the good and bad things about their service. Below is a summary of our findings.
- High anonymity private HTTP/HTTPS proxies.
- Very simplified packages.
- The proxies are very cheap.
- Very high bandwidth speed with unlimited monthly bandwidth.
- On-demand proxy refreshing.
- Upon purchase, proxies are delivered instantly.
- 7-days refund policy.
- Multiple locations and subnets for each package.
- Although do not have specialized packages, the general-purpose proxies work well for all kinds of tasks.
- Payment via credit cards and Paypal both are accepted.
- Double proxies for BlackHatWorld users at no further cost.
- SOCKS proxies are not available.
- No trial period.
- of locations undisclosed.
- Username and password authentication is not available.
NewIPNow Paid Private Proxies Types and Pricing
As mentioned earlier, apart from private proxies, NewIPNow offers web proxies for anyone to use for free. Their private proxies are paid proxies and are available for the extremely low cost compared to its competitors. They don’t offer single proxy IPs, and their lowest package is of 5 proxies which are available at only $5.
The largest package is 1000 proxies and available at only $1000. While many providers charge $2-$5 per proxy, with the varying prices for specialized proxies, NewIPNow offers all of its proxies at a flat rate of $1 each. And they don’t have specialized proxy plans either, but all their proxies can usually access the sites for which other providers offer specialized packages.
Locations of proxy servers
NewIPNow does not reveal the total number of locations they have, let alone the details of their servers. Their largest package of 1000 proxies offers 7 different locations and 14 subnets.
While buying the proxies, you cannot choose your preferred locations. But after you have purchased the proxies, you can submit a ticket to request for specific locations.
We carried four sequential tests on all of the 10 proxies we purchased. The tests are speed test, ping test, geolocation test, and IP compatibility test.
Ping Test & Proxy Speed Test
Ping Test:
The first test we performed was to check the latency of each proxy IP, as this is the fundamental problem for proxies. We used whoer.net to find out the ping from different locations in the USA, Canada, and the UK.
The lower the ping, the closer the proxy server is from that location, and the pages will load faster. The test results show that most of the proxies have a ping of more than 50 ms, which is not particularly impressive and maybe add up to a significant delay when you use tools like scrapebox and others. The full test result is given below.
IP | Location Provided by NewIPNow | Ping from Georgia, USA (ms) | Ping from London, UK (ms) | Ping from Quebec, CA (ms) |
---|---|---|---|---|
50.31.8.218 | LaJolla, California, USA | 62.9 | 91.8 | 16.7 |
173.234.59.36 | Illinois, Chicago, USA | 45.1 | 84.2 | 17.7 |
50.31.8.43 | Illinois, Chicago, USA | 62.8 | 88.7 | 16.8 |
173.234.59.12 | Illinois, Chicago, USA | 47.2 | 84.3 | 17.9 |
173.232.14.40 | Nevada, Las Vegas, USA | 10.1 | 130.3 | 87.3 |
173.234.59.231 | Illinois, Chicago, USA | 47.2 | 84.6 | 17.8 |
23.19.32.251 | Washington, Seattle, USA | 34.7 | 134.9 | 72.3 |
23.19.32.250 | Washington, Seattle, USA | 45 | 141.3 | 74.6 |
173.232.14.110 | Nevada, Las Vegas, USA | 10.4 | 138.8 | 68.3 |
173.234.59.33 | Illinois, Chicago, USA | 47.2 | 84.3 | 17.9 |
Speed Test:
After the ping test, we focused on another important parameter to determine the quality of the proxies – speed. While some businesses might not find the speed to be too big of an issue, many tools and daily browsing will have significant jitter if the proxies cannot provide enough speed.
With 1000 Mbps internet connectivity, NewIPNow should perform very well in this category. Their claim is supported by our test results too. We used the world’s no. 1-speed testing site speedtest.net to find out the proxy internet connection for each of the proxy IPs. Without using the proxy, we had an internet speed of 98.56 Mbps (download) and 907.93 Mbps (upload).
None of the proxies exceeded that speed, so we can say that the bottlenecking is happening at the proxy connection. Still, most of the proxies served very good connection speed and hence pass our test.
The proxy speed is very good for almost all kinds of businesses as well as streaming video, uploading contests, running a torrent and so on. The test results for all the proxies are as follow.
IPs of proxies | Ping (ms) | Download (Mbps) | Upload (Mbps) | |
---|---|---|---|---|
Without Proxy | 0 | 98.56 | 907.93 | |
50.31.8.218 | 24 | 94 | 379.32 | |
173.234.59.36 | 3 | 75.51 | 438.57 | |
50.31.8.43 | 23 | 67.53 | 218.47 | |
173.234.59.12 | 3 | 74.6 | 380.67 | |
173.232.14.40 | 46 | 59.49 | 339.42 | |
173.234.59.231 | 6 | 71.98 | 377.97 | |
23.19.32.251 | 46 | 18.79 | 17.53 | |
23.19.32.250 | 45 | 24.08 | 12.66 | |
173.232.14.110 | 92 | 62.26 | 35.92 | |
173.234.59.33 | 4 | 37.22 | 476.41 |
GEOlocation Test / ISP Test
We also performed a geolocation test to verify if the proxies provided by NewIPNow are really hiding our original IP address and location.
All of the proxies did a good job here, and we found they’re really showing us locations other than our original location. The test was carried out via iplocation.net where each IP is tested with four other geolocation provider websites. For each of the proxies, at least two of the providers showed the same location and ISPs.
All the proxies we received were of the USA, and although the package plan mentions that two locations are provided for 10 proxies plan, the test shows 4 different locations. We also found 4 subnet masks with non-sequential IPs, which is pretty good.
The full geolocation test that we performed is given here.

IP address compatibility Test
The last test we performed was to test whether we can access many popular sites that require different IPs for each account. We tested several social media sites, sneakers sites, Amazon, Craigslist using our proxies.
We were pretty satisfied with this test as well since almost all of the sites were accessible. Half of the proxies did not work for Twitter. But other than that, all other proxies were letting us access all other websites that we checked.

Features of NewIPNowProxy
High anonymity
NewIPNow offers high anonymity proxies. The real IP is never forwarded to the destination website, and the proxy server handles all requests with their IP. This also means that the proxy IPs do not appear as a proxy server to the website.
IP authentication method
A popular form of authentication method used by many proxy providers is authenticating using the IP address. This ensures that the connection is not interrupted during a reset or applying new settings is not required. You can easily authenticate your IP to be used by all of the proxies, so adding only the IP and port would be enough.
7-days refund policy
NewIPNow does not have a trial/test policy. So, to know whether their service is suitable for you, you’ll need to purchase at least a minimum package from them and then check. Fortunately, they have a rather straightforward refund policy and guarantees a 100% compatibility. If any website is incompatible with the proxies you are provided, you will receive a 100% refund within seven days.
On-demand proxy refresh
You can request a refresh of the proxies each month after completing the payment. The proxies remain the same by default but are refreshed upon request. You can submit a ticket to request a refresh.
How to use NewIPnow proxies
Signing Up for NewIPnow.com
Signing up for NewIPNow is very easy. You can find their private proxy plans by visiting the ‘paid proxy’ link on their website. The packages are very simple, and you can choose from six packages and order right away. NewIPNow accepts payment via PayPal and Credit Cards (via 2checkout). I buy 10 private proxies via PayPal.
How to authorize
NewIPNow only supports IP authentication and does not let users authenticate with username and password. By logging into the client area, you can easily find the option to authenticate IPs and a list of your proxies. Your original IP address is shown on the page so that you can easily add it to the authorized proxies list.

After authorizing IPs, you’ll need to configure the network settings in the application you’ll use the proxies in. The proxy settings are usually found in the settings of the internet application. Choose to configure the proxy settings manually and then add the proxy IP and port number given by ‘NewIPNow.’ Since the proxies are authenticated via IPs, you’ll need to leave the username and password field blank. You can also use the proxies in your smartphone. You can configure the proxy settings by navigating to the WiFi settings.

Support
We were skeptical about NewIPNow at first due to their over-simplified appearance. But after our thorough test, we must say we are impressed and would definitely recommend the service. The proxies have somewhat higher ping, so if you think ping is not your concern, you can easily go for them since they have a very high connection speed. The proxies are also compatible with sneaker sites, ads sites and similar other sites, for which, other proxy providers usually have separate plans and often charge higher.
But even after being a cheap proxy service, their proxies can access the high demand websites and perform very well. While it’s better to go for specialized premium packages offered by some other proxy providers, you can also try out NewIPNow since the cost will be negligible. NewIPNow has scopes to improve themselves, but we hope they maintain their cheap pricing and simplicity.
